1. What is the order to use chat?
Nickname → Message → Copy invite link (✈️) → Share.
Nickname → Message → Copy invite link (✈️) → Share.
If no participant joins, the invite link and waiting room expire after about 20 minutes.
About 60 seconds after the other person reads them. Messages are not stored permanently.
Tap 🎤 and speak — text appears in the input field. You must tap send yourself; it is not sent automatically.
Paid Lala is used for message (translation) extension, chat Lala gifts, video chat, org meetings (booking and allocation), invite email sends, AI secretary use, and similar features.
Copying the invite link (✈️) itself does not cost Lala.
Chat messages (translation): about 33 Lala per short message.
AI secretary: text 33 Lala per use · AI photo caption 90 Lala per use · voice consultation 45 Lala per minute of the secretary speaking, minimum 90 Lala per answer (so an answer up to 2 minutes is 90, and a 10-minute explanation or reading is about 450). Charged only when you receive an answer; if you stop in the middle, only the time already spoken is charged. Members who have never recharged get 10 free uses per day (a free voice answer covers up to 2 minutes).
Invite email: 45 Lala per recipient. 90 Lala if you edit the invitation text or the address comes from your Google contacts. The price is the same whether the email goes out through your own Gmail or our partner server. Only emails that are sent successfully are charged.
Adding or importing addresses costs 0 Lala. Lala is charged only when you send.
Start with a nickname only. Each room includes up to 2,000 session Lala for messages and translation.
Invite email (room owner, after member login): up to 10 sends total before paid recharge — roughly 60 short messages at ~33 Lala each (2,000 ÷ 33); actual page count depends on message length.
Registering your email (Google) grants 2,000 Lala to your member wallet.
Use messages, translation, email, video (when eligible), and related features within your recharged wallet Lala balance.
After paid recharge: up to 1,000 invite emails per day (per room/session). Use Use recharge to link your wallet to the current room.
After enterprise recharge: enterprise wallet balance ≥ 10,000 Lala and Use recharge linked to the room.
Only the room owner can start video. Participants approve or decline. The owner can remove participants and send Lala gifts.
Start from a separate room using Org meeting login (isolated from regular chat).
Enterprise wallet balance ≥ 10,000 Lala required. Per-person packages (e.g. 30 min 50,000 / 60 min 100,000 / 90 min 150,000 / 120 min 200,000 Lala) are allocated and booked; unused session counts flow back when the meeting ends.
Org-meeting participants cannot use Use recharge (it is locked for them).
Invite participants (link or email), remove participants, gift Lala, start video (when eligible), and edit or send invitations and notices.
End closes the entire room for everyone.
Join via invite link, send messages and use translation, approve or decline video requests, and receive Lala gifts.
They cannot send email invites, start video, or end the whole room. End leaves only themselves — the room stays open.
Room owner + member login, from the right sidebar: register My email → add recipients → (optional) edit invitation/notice → send invite.
45 Lala per email (90 Lala when edited or sourced from Google contacts). Up to 10 cumulative sends before paid recharge. Each send deducts and delivers for every selected recipient.
45 Lala per email (90 Lala when edited or sourced from Google contacts), deducted from recharge balance. Google address book import is available (0 Lala for import).
Limits: 100 sends per minute · 1,000 per day. For bulk or scheduled sends (e.g. 10,000+), contact us in advance for approval.
They serve different purposes. If you enter text that is not in English, an English translation appears below.
Save your draft, then use Send invite to email it. Pricing is the same per send: 45 Lala (90 Lala when edited or sourced from Google contacts).
Open the link in your device’s default browser (Chrome, Safari, etc.).
If you are already in an active conversation, reopening the link will not take you back into that same window.
You can connect the AI secretary in three ways (More → Assistant connection): your own Google free key, your own Google paid key, or the optional actslala key (see question 31). With your own key, your usage and limits are yours alone, and there is no shared key.
Mail check and friend search work without a key. Only AI chat, AI reply drafts and voice consultation need one of the three connections.
Secretary room → Free key → Go create a key → in Google AI Studio press Create API key (free, no card needed) and tap the copy icon → come back to the app. The copied key is checked and saved automatically. If your browser asks for clipboard access, choose Allow; if nothing happens, tap Paste copied key and save.
Next to it is a Paid key banner. If you have linked billing to your own Google project (see question 21), connect that project's key there. If both keys are connected, the paid key is used first. You can change or remove either key under More → Assistant connection.
By default the key is stored only in this browser on your device and is not sent to our server. AI requests go directly from your browser to Google. The key is saved once per device and is shared by every ID used on that device.
Optional server storage: if you tick “Store this key encrypted on the server” when saving a key, we keep an encrypted copy so it is restored automatically when you log in on a new phone or browser. It is off by default, the key is never shown in lists or logs, and deleting the key also deletes the server copy.
Without server storage, on a new phone, a new browser, or after clearing browser data, paste the key again. Never share your key; if it may have leaked, delete it in Google AI Studio and create a new one.
Google offers a free tier with usage limits. Limits and terms are set by Google and may change. You pay Google only if you turn on billing in your own Google account.
The limit belongs to the Google project your key was created in, which is owned by your own Google account. If the free limit runs out often, you can link a billing account to your own Google project (Google AI Studio / Google Cloud) to raise your limit; you then pay Google only for what you use. This changes only your own limit, and ActsLala’s accounts do not affect it. Please check the current limits, prices and data-use terms in Google AI Studio before you decide.
Separately, ActsLala deducts Lala for each AI answer — see question 6.
Limit reached: that is your Gemini key’s limit. Wait a while or try again tomorrow. Voice replies have a lower limit; when it is reached, replies are read aloud with your device voice instead.
If the free limit fills up often: the limit is set per Google project, so each user raises only their own limit. Link a billing account to the Google project of your key in your own Google account (see question 21). Daily updates, voice consultation and voice replies all use your key, so heavy testing can use up the free limit quickly.
Round mark inside the Voice consultation banner: gray means you are using a free key, green means a paid key is connected. It is a display only and opens nothing. To use a paid key, connect it under Free key / Paid key (see question 19); the app cannot verify billing itself. The limit message stays on screen for about 5 seconds.
Key invalid: check that the whole key was pasted with no extra spaces and is still active in Google AI Studio, or create a new key and connect it again.
Conversations and email text are not stored on our servers; they stay on your screen only. AI requests are processed by Google under your key and Google’s terms, so please avoid entering sensitive personal information.
The AI only writes drafts. An email is sent only when you confirm it yourself, and replies go only to the original sender.
Tap Voice consultation, allow the microphone, and speak. Your secretary answers in her own voice in a real-time conversation (Gemini Live) using your own key, and the conversation also appears as text in the chat window. If real-time voice cannot connect, the app switches automatically to the standard mode (your speech is turned into text, the AI answers, and the answer is read aloud). While the secretary is speaking she does not hear the microphone, so wait for her to finish; earphones are recommended. It stops by itself after 3 minutes of silence. Chrome or Edge is recommended.
Tap the same button again to stop. Voice use is charged per use — see question 6.
If your key is connected, the chat screen also uses it in your own browser: incoming messages are translated into your language, and on phones the microphone button next to the message box turns your speech into text. Video-call captions are not affected.
The message text or voice clip is sent from your browser to Google under your key, so usage counts against your key’s limits. If the limit is reached or no key is connected, the chat simply uses the standard translation and voice recognition. Our server does not receive or store the translated text.
If you have connected Google and allowed sending mail, invitations are sent first from your own Gmail, so they appear in your Sent folder. If Gmail’s daily limit (about 500 messages) is reached or a send fails, the remaining emails are sent shortly afterwards through ActsLala’s partner mail server. Without a Google connection, the partner server is used directly.
The Lala charge is the same either way — see question 6.
Secretary room → My identity. Enter how the secretary should address you (for example “Mr. Kim”) and the name you call your secretary, what you want to do, and what you are good at (up to 200 characters each), and choose at least one daily update: Issue of the day, Meditation of the day, Friends of the day, Food of the day.
Your secretary then greets you by name and reads out the items you chose, and continues the conversation based on what you wrote. Everything you enter is stored only on this device and is not sent to our server; during a conversation it is sent to Google under your own Gemini key. If you clear your browser data or change phones, enter it again. Clear deletes it.
Daily updates are created with your own key after 10:00 AM (your device time), while the app is open or the first time you open it after 10:00. They are not push notifications and cost no Lala. Friends of the day works without a key. If a limit is reached, the item is skipped for now and retried later (up to 3 times a day).
If you have registered your identity, the secretary reads your greeting aloud, for example: “Mr. Kim, hello, this is the secretary’s office. Today’s issue is … and today’s friends are …”. The text appears together with the voice, not before it. The greeting itself is not charged.
The full greeting is read only the first time you start voice consultation each day. After that, the secretary just says “Mr. Kim, how can I help you?” and carries on from the conversation you were having.
You can say “read it in English” (or another language) and the secretary answers and reads in that language until you say otherwise. If you say nothing for 3 minutes, voice consultation ends automatically.
Chat tab → new chat (top right) → the Select chat partners sheet → Find friends. It suggests members by MBTI match and shared interests, and you can search by name; added people appear in your friends list.
Yes. For a photo it looks at the picture; for a video it looks at one frame of the video. The caption is a draft you can edit before sharing. It uses your Gemini key and is charged 90 Lala when you receive it (question 6).
It is an optional way to use the AI secretary without creating your own Gemini key: our company key answers for you. It requires a $12 per year subscription (shown as $1 per month, billed once a year through Lemon Squeezy). The subscription does not include Lala.
Usage is charged in Lala: 96 Lala for a normal text answer, 192 Lala for an important-mail summary you ask for, voice consultation about 277 Lala per 10 seconds (same rate as a video call), 2,400 Lala for a web-search answer, and up to 2,800 Lala for detailed research with search. There are no free daily uses with this option, and daily usage limits apply to protect the service.
Your own free and paid keys are unchanged and are never deleted when you switch. Choose which connection to use under More → Assistant connection. Because the company key is used, your chat text (and your voice during voice consultation) is processed by Google Gemini; our server does not store the conversation. Photo captions and mail drafts still use your own key if you have one saved.
You can cancel any time: renewal stops and you keep access until the end of the paid year. See the Terms and Refund Policy.
When an AI key (or the actslala key connection) is saved on a device, the login screen of that device is fixed to the ID that saved it, so only the password (PIN) is needed. To log in or sign up with a different ID, first delete every saved key under More → Assistant connection; the ID lock is then released.
Friends → Add friend → Find by MBTI type: people of that type (first 10, then 50 more each tap), in worldwide-share proportions. Search by ID in the same sheet. IDs look like name@actslala.com. A phone sign-up uses the last 8 digits @actslala.com (not a mailbox). More → the 16-type table shows worldwide share scaled to 1/100. On first login, five of these listings are added as friends. Similar friends shows ten people who are not already in your friend list. If your MBTI is set, the assistant may ask about it first. A reply in a 1:1 room can continue there with your Gemini key. There is no separate AI mark. See also question 29.
